The “Supporting Handicrafts Products of Vulnerable Families” project, funded by the International Civil Society Action Network, Inc. (ICAN), aimed to empower vulnerable families through skill development in handicrafts, enabling them to generate income and improve their livelihoods. The objectives and Goals of the projects are:
- To Empower vulnerable families with professional sewing skills.
- To Provide essential sewing equipment.
- To Establish a support network among participants.
- To Facilitate marketing and sale of handicraft products.
- Improving sewing skills and providing necessary equipment.
- Creating a supportive network for sharing experiences and building trust.
- Increasing the ability to market and sell handicraft products, generating sustainable income.
- Sewing Training: Provided professional training in sewing for 45 vulnerable families.
- Equipment Provision: Supplied sewing machines and related equipment to the trainees.
- Networking Group: Established a group to facilitate mutual support and knowledge sharing.
- Monthly Workshops: Conducted workshops for family members to understand the training and marketing of products.
- Community Engagement: Organized two major community events, including a handicraft exhibition to showcase and sell the products.
