About Us

Dignity Peace & Prosperity

New Development and Relief Organization (NDRO) is an independent, non-governmental, non-profitable and non-political Afghan NGO that has been established by a group of Afghan women and men professionals in 2020 and formally registered with the Ministry of Economy, Afghanistan under registration # 4884.

NDRO is a humanitarian organization that comes from its experience working with communities in different areas of Afghanistan. More importantly, the development and growth of the organization have been through experiencing critical and emergency situations in the country. While such a situation put NDRO in a position to be fully prepared to take part in responding to emergency circumstances lately emerged in Afghanistan as well as have effective interventions in various humanitarian assistance with main focus on hanger relief, assist the most vulnerable group of the community to recover from crisis, protect children and work for empowerment of women in the society.

Our Latest Activities

We put in every effort for national mobilization and solidarity to raise voice for hunger relief, recover lives in crises and support women and children as the main focus groups. It is indispensible to support the children, boys and girls, have access to education and development in the society. NDRO is also committed to be connected and work closely with the civil society, humanitarian assistance organizations, women activists/ advocates, community elders, religious leaders and national/ international NGOs for the main objective of recovering lives at crisis.

The Problems

Emergency Response

We work to respond to any emergency situation to help people recover their lives as they deserve this dignity. In consonance with the Emergency Response Plan, it is vital to use the available in-country capacity to deal with the initial phase of an emergency. This is a time-tested approach that NDRO applies in responding to emergency situations.

Agriculture Growth & Development

Agriculture provides food security for a large number of families in Afghanistan, particularly in rural areas. About 70 percent of Afghans live and work in rural areas, mostly on farms, and derive income from Agriculture. The latest drought conditions seriously affected the income and food security of households in rural areas which now necessitates particular attention. We work alongside our partners to help smallholder farmers to access soil fertility, water availability and realize their production potential and increase their income.

Relief Interventions

Community ownership lies at the top of sustainability agenda of NDRO to work with its partners and help households in rural areas benefit from nutrition, reduce disaster risk and create employment through participatory approach and manage the assets that are created in the community.

Education

We are working towards inclusive and equitable quality education for girls and boys in Afghanistan, and focusing to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
